Technographic Workshop

Two-day TypeCon D.C. workshop exploring the merger and contrast between digital fabrication and traditional printmaking methods. Participants designed their own non-traditional, abstract type-high wood blocks for letterpress printing. The first day is devoted to designing and milling the blocks on a CNC router, the second day is devoted to letterpress experimentation and collaboration amongst the group, joining and overlapping their own personal designs. 


Hosted and printed at the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design Letterpress Book Arts / Letterpress studio, George Washington University. Instructor and participant, with Tricia Treacy and Ashley John Pigford.
