The New York Academy of Art is a graduate school combining intensive technical training in the fine arts with active critical discourse. Responsibilities include:
  • Leading the design, branding, and production of multiple departments’ print and digital collateral publicizin and accentuating Academy events, lectures, exhibitions, instructional material for current/prospective students, and development material highlighting the Academy’s growth.
  • Responsible for the management of several teams handling social media, recruitment, and digital advertising.
  • Webmaster for the institution’s website, managing active users and ensuring that the website is up to date on security 
    and maintaining PHP compatibility.
  • Directing the branding of email marketing templates within Salesforce Pardot to meet the needs of various
    departments in their efforts to publicize upcoming events and expand outreach to potential students and supporters.

Research, Studio Assistant, Designer     March 2014 – September 2015

Assisted on distinct projects including freelance client work, book design, conceptual research, international collaboration, testing and experimenting with hybrid digital/physical fabrication, preparing work for exhibitions, and documentation.
Responsibilities included:

  • Preparing files for layout and all aspects of the design and printing process
  • Collaborating with artists of Shift-Lab to design and produce a catalogue of their work
  • Assisting with the collection of work by international artists and designers, including all phases of exhibition research, collation, outreach, and execution.
  • Instructor in the Technographic workshop hosted at the national typographic conference TypeCon in Washington, DC.
  • Instructor for a hybrid digital fabrication/letterpress course at the Penland School of Craft in Spruce Pine, NC.
